COMMUNITY HEALTH CLINIC
2026 Winter Health Fair at Downtown Los Angeles
On February 21, 2026, La Kalusugan Collective (LAKAS) and UCLA's Pilipinos for Community Health (PCH) partnered for their second annual health fair at the well-established Los Angeles street food staple, Dollar Hits! Set in the center of Historic Filipinotown (HiFi), we aimed to address the adverse health issues disproportionately affecting the predominantly Filipino and Latino communities within HiFi. With free blood pressure screenings, mental health services, culturally relevant nutrition resources, and fitness education, we aimed to directly combat the higher rates of hypertension, diabetes, diet-related diabetes, cardiovascular disease, mental health stigmas, and elderly neurodegenerative and mobility decline that affect our fellow Angelenos.
